CV and business card...

After last week I got some feedback about my CV and business card. They need to be presented in the same style. This also refers to the website and portfolio.
I decided to use old banner idea to put onto my CV and business card. The reason why I chose this style is that it’s easy to follow and ‘it makes sense’. I would like to stay with my old version of CV but it doesn’t really match any business card - style.

As for my CV it wasn’t really difficult to change the style because when I put images I wanted to have, it worked well.

Unfortunately, the business card wasn’t so easy. At the beginning I tried sth different:

But it didn’t work with the text. I tried to replace the text and change the colours but still I wasn’t very happy about the final result.
Finally I put the same banner which I had used in CV. Now I think it’s beginning to look better.

As for my team project – two weeks ago I presented to the others my idea of poster and banner presentation. They were satisfied. The only thing they wanted me to change was 3D text. They preferred brush font instead. The fonts are available on dafont.com but for some strange reasons I couldn’t use their fonts. So the text will be added tomorrow in class.
Another problem that we had was the logo of Anglia Ruskin University. The problem was that none of us could find a high quality image of ARU logo. So for this reason I tried to replicate the logo and made a higher quality image of ARU logo (pic)
Last week my task was to given to Mikey. PNG version of banner (painted characters in high resolution) and poster without text (also PNG)

  1. Hi Robert,
Well done with the CV and business card. Just concentrate now in following same graphic guidelines for your web or log (whichever you have decided to work in).
Be sure also to start working in:
    Sketchbook
    Binding of portfolio
Selection of work you will add in portfolio (name of project, aim or brief of project, brief explanation of design process).
    See you soon in class,
    Mariana.
