Ideas

During the first two weeks our group came up with couple of ideas for the ‘Exhibition’ module. Probably the theme of our project will be ‘Nature’ but this is something we will talk about later on.
As for now the group is thinking about how to present the theme. Our first idea is to use lights. The ambient light could be used to highlight the work when the surroundings are dark. So this could focus potential viewer on work. We all agree that using the spotlight could cause problems to clearly see the work.
The second idea was to use glass as material. The work would be divided into segments and situated in different places (depths) to achieve 3D visualisation. We agreed that it would be also a good idea to use the lights.

Another thing we were talking about was how to display the information. It could be displayed on the floor, in the centre of the image or in the borders.

CV

After yesterday lecture I came across some ideas. I now know that CV shouldn’t be overloaded as it may be to confused but in the same time it cannot be too simple because as a creative person I must show some of my creativity. My fist idea is to use, maybe, 2 nice pictures of some of my work, just to show some of my skills. I also thought about using the background image, so the information would be displayed on in the picture.
I will try to make both of them and see which one is better...

  1. Robert,

I don't see any information related to your visit to the exhibition. If you decided as a team to send one person to the exhibition, that's your decision, but the purpose of this task was for you to understand how people behave in it, research about how the information to the visitor is handle and the whole experience of being there as a VISITOR. In case you didn't realize the importance of this particular task, the least expected was for you to look at the images that people of your team got and put it in your blog. This blog is your journal and it's the only way you will be marked individually. If you don't have the images and research to justify your work then I don't have tools to mark you. You mention what you understood from last class about how you are going to work with your CV. Then APPLY IT! Start working in it: information you will include, graphics, typo, etc. Put maybe some ideas you found from other people that inspire you. Also, I don't see anyone in your group thinking about the work you'll be presenting in your exhibition. What about the people you're planning to invite? These points have been mentioned in class, if you don't remember then take notes so you can cover them through the week without missing any of them. Still, base in the information I got from other members of your teams blogs, your two concepts look interesting and fun. Work with them and be sure you have a convincing presentation for next week. Remember: this is a competition and you have to do everything to make YOUR concept win. Be sure of covering all the points.
    See you soon.
